As far as I can remember, the first time I came to Michigan in 1997 or '98, I was at my cousin's house. At this point my parents and cousin went house searching while my cousins and I were in the house. That day, it poured rain like there was no tomorrow. I just sat on the couch looking through the window. Waters were piling up in the street.I thought that the world was going to flood, and I won't be able to see my parents again. But I stay calm. It continue raining hard, and harder. Then there was the police siren in the background. I don't recall if it was for the TV or was it from outside.
Every time I hear rain, it gives me this sad, almost depressing feeling. It reminds me of my childhood, before I came to Michigan. It's not just the rain either. It is also the fact that I can feel it. After the rain stop, there is this really cool breeze that blows by. I love to close my eyes and reminisce back to my childhood in California. It is ironic that a place like Michigan can remind me so much of California, especially my lovely childhood life that I dearly miss.
Every morning:
- My Mom gets up @ 4 AM
- My Brother @ 7 AM
- My Sister @ 8 AM
Around noon during the summer in downtown Northville, on a Friday, the Firetrucks will go on their practice rounds.
We have a lot of morning glories, and when I say a lot, I mean it. So either if I am in the back yard, or in the front, I know that it is morning and not the evening.
My hair tends to grow quickly, especially my bangs. It takes at least 3 to 4 days for my bangs to grow from the above my eyebrows to the point of my eyelashes. So every 3-4 days I will be trimming them.
